BOSS BATTLE FIGHT VS MOTHER NATURE?!? INSANE FIGHT!! Guys...mother nature hit me with the one, two this week. 3 weeks of me fighting for my life in this weather. How is it going my friends? I hope you all had nice, sunny, calm weather and partied it up for Halloween. Over here, I can not say the same. We had over 100 and humid, to 60 and water flooding the streets. Basically, I guess Thursday Asuncion got destroyed by this storm that came through. Over here, we just had tons of rain and our power went out in our house. However, on Saturday, I don't even have a word that can describe how much rain we had. We just finished a lesson with a family, and we were waiting to see if we could stop by an inactive member's home. This huge storm came through, knocking trees down and flooding the streets again. However, I really wanted to go to this person's home. We were waiting in this little shop, hoping the storm would pass away. However, after 30 mins, it was just gettin...

WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EMAIL FROM YOUR FAVORITE ELDER RESSEL. Hola mis amigos, ¿cómo están ustedes? I bet you all like that Spanish there. Another week done here in Paraguay. These weeks are flying by. I have been a missionary for almost 3 months now. Que loco. Another crazy weather story. Mother nature really hit me across the face again and said you better be grateful for the hot weather or I am going to give you torrential rain. I guess I was not grateful and she gave us torrential rain. We were having lunch with a family and walking there was the worst. Clearly, you can't walk into ongoing traffic, so we thought it would be smart to take the muddy hill to the house. Luckily for me, I am just built different and crossed the muddy slope like a pro. However, for my companion not so much. He slipped and fell right into the water. It was really funny. However, I did not get away that easily. Like I said before, there is ongoing traffic. Had some funny stories and once again, things that made me rethink everything that I knew before. Sooo, you guys remember the story from last week? Just with my luck, we ran into him once again. This day, mother nature decided that she wanted to fold the streets of Paraguay and give us crazy rain. I could you not, the day before, I was complaining about how we never get rain and it is either hot or freezing. See here, in Paraguay, there is no such thing as storm drains. FOOT ALMOST AMPUTATED!?! EMERGENCY SURGERY!?! WARNING!! ANDDDD GUESS WHO IS BACK FROM THE JUNGLE. YOURRRRR GUYYYYYYY ELDERRRR RESSEL! I had to do emergency surgery on my foot... nah I am kidding. I had something called pike in my foot, which is pretty much a tick. I spent literally 30 mins cutting my foot trying to get this thing out. I eventually did, and now have a crater in my foot. Do not worry, I did not die. You guys will still see me return. I am back baby from another week of fun. This week was kind of boring, with not a lot of funny stories to share besides one. I LOVE CHICKEN?!? BUT, DO I LOVE CHICKEN THAT MUCH!?! GONE WRONG!! So, you are probably wondering, why the heck is this the title of this week's email? Well, let me tell you. We all know that I love chicken. Any type of chicken I will eat. We went to a family's home to have lunch. They whipped out some chicken on the bone and some rice. To say the least, it was fire. The piece of chicken they gave me had a ton of fat on it though. Here in Paraguay, it is nice of you to finish all the food they give you, because of how poor and little the people have. So, I finished everything they gave me... even the vegetables. However, I did not eat the fat off the bone, because... well I didn't even need to explain that. You just don't eat the fat. The family was telling me in Spanish to pick up the bone and eat the rest. I was so confused, because I finished everything on the plate. But they were insisting that I finish it.
