FOOT ALMOST AMPUTATED!?! EMERGENCY SURGERY!?! WARNING!!

ANDDDD GUESS WHO IS BACK FROM THE JUNGLE. YOURRRRR GUYYYYYYY ELDERRRR RESSEL!

I had to do emergency surgery on my foot... nah I am kidding. I had something called pike in my foot, which is pretty much a tick. I spent literally 30 mins cutting my foot trying to get this thing out. I eventually did, and now have a crater in my foot. Do not worry, I did not die. You guys will still see me return.

I am back baby from another week of fun. This week was kind of boring, with not a lot of funny stories to share besides one. Just you guys wait to hear this interaction between Elder Ressel and the people of Paraguay.

Background: We just got back from a fire lesson with a member's friend. Elder Turner and I were hyping each other up. We called a family who we were going to meet with next.

Story: We were walking down this dark road. While my companion was talking with the family, this man started yelling out of nowhere. All I could understand was, "come back!" I was not sure if it was directed towards us, or if he was talking with someone else. I eventually looked back and sure enough, it was directed towards us. We started walking back and he is screaming at us on why we do not visit him anymore. I guess past missionaries visited him, and they stopped because he wouldn't want to go to church and stuff.  He said some other things that probably should not be said, but I was in shock of what was happening. Afterwards, we agreed to visit him the next day. When we were walking back another guy started yelling at us in Gandhi. I was lost again. It was so crazy.

We had zone conference this week and it was super fun. Besides the practices. And of course with my luck, I had to practice with the leaders. It was great feedback though on how I can improve my teaching and my Spanish.

We have had some great lessons with some non-members. One of the biggest focuses this week was faith. When we completely trust in our Savior, anything is possible. In Romans 5:1 it says, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" We can feel peace through Jesus Christ.

I won't lie, I got nothing else. I hope you all are all well. Until next week's adventure.

From your favorite,

Elder Ressel
