WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EMAIL FROM YOUR FAVORITE ELDER RESSEL.

Hola mis amigos, ¿cómo están ustedes? I bet you all like that Spanish there. Another week done here in Paraguay. These weeks are flying by. I have been a missionary for almost 3 months now. Que loco.

Another crazy weather story. Mother nature really hit me across the face again and said you better be grateful for the hot weather or I am going to give you torrential rain. I guess I was not grateful and she gave us torrential rain. We were having lunch with a family and walking there was the worst. Clearly, you can't walk into ongoing traffic, so we thought it would be smart to take the muddy hill to the house. Luckily for me, I am just built different and crossed the muddy slope like a pro. However, for my companion not so much. He slipped and fell right into the water. It was really funny. However, I did not get away that easily. Like I said before, there is ongoing traffic. There was a huge puddle of water on the street, and I got destroyed by a car who drove in it. My shoes and pants, SOAKED. All I could do was just laugh.

I gave my first talk in Spanish during church on Sunday. Our Bishop sent us a message on Saturday night at 9 asking if my companion or I could give a talk. I looked at him, he looked at me and I said I would do it. I prepared a 10 min talk LIKE HE ASKED and I had to translate my talk in the morning because I did not have enough time on Saturday night. What he did not say though, was that I was going to be the last speaker and I only prepared a talk for 10 mins. The only speakers were a youth speaker, and me. So, when the youth speaker finished, we had 20 mins left and I looked out and laughed and said, "lets bless these people." When I finished what I had written out, it was exactly 10 mins, but I had to kill another 10. That did not go well. After about 2 mins of stalling, I gave up and made the Bishop talk for the rest of the time. Hey man, I did what he told me to do.

We finally moved into our new house. We had been living with the zone leaders for the last 4 weeks in their small home. We now have a house and people do not have to sleep on the floor anymore. Besides only having beds, a refrigerator and a stove the place is super nice.

Unfortunately this week, we had a member's wife pass away unexpectedly. It was a super sad and devastating thing for everyone. We had the opportunity to talk about the Plan of Salvation to the people there at his home. This plan allows us to return with our families, even after death. Even though the death of a loved one is something nobody wants to go through, we know that we will see them again. Por Favor, mantenerlo en sus oraciones.

That is about it for this week. We have transfers this week. Maybe I will be transferred, but the odds of that happening are very low.

I love you and and of course, miss you all too

From your favorite,

Elder Ressel
