I'M RUNNING OUT OF THINGS TO SAY!!?!
We can just say that week killed this week. This was by far one of my best weeks I have had here in Pedro Juan. From achieving our goals to watching part of the Lakers game, I mean what can't get better than that.
I had exchanges this week with my zone leader and it was one of the funniest days ever. We actually had a really good day in finding new people and having members in our lessons. However, Elder Rosas was sick as a dog and he was starting to die at like 6:30, so we passed by this members house who is from Brazil and we were there the rest of the day because Elder Rosas was dying. This dude is so funny. He is super smart, so we had a good talk about some gospel related things. He later got bored and started to watch this soccer game, and he told me that he likes basketball. So, we started talking about basketball and he put on the Lakers game for me. His wife made us steak and rice and I watched the lakers game. Like, I can't even explain the joy that I had those 2 hours. Best day ever.
We have been working super hard here in Rama 5 trying to get this place running again. I have been really trying to follow the impressions of the Spirit to guide me in my leadership callings and in my area. 3 weeks ago there was a little girl outside playing with her brother and immediately I felt like I had to go talk with her parents. We talked with the parents and they accepted us in and we have been teaching them. They just came to church yesterday and loved it. It was awesome to see what you can accomplish when you just stop and listen to the Spirit.
Since being here I have loved eating Açaí. When you see me in Utah, I am going to take up hot yoga after Açaí. My trainer, Elder Turner, told me that we can do it together. I definitely think right there is the life. We have a place here that sells really good Açaí and empanadas. We actually started talking to the owner and we have a time this week to pass by and explain why 2 Americans are here in Paraguay.
Other than that we just be doing the normal. Around 1000 push-ups everyday, dry scoping protein, walking 30 miles a day and talking to everyone on the street.
I love you all and hope that the start of summer is lit. Trust the process, Lakers are going to bounce back and win the series.
From your favorite,
Elder Ressel
