Ring Ring... Calling from Paraguay...Ring Ring... Another week in the books here in good old Paraguay... but we in a different area. Started off with a nice 8 hour bus ride with our bus breaking down the last 1 hour. The bus ride actually wasn't even that bad. I got the fancy bus and they played Avengers the movie during the trip. Yeah it was in Spanish, but it was sick. Pedro Juan is crazy. To start off, people barley speak Spanish here. It is either they learnt Portuguese or a different language first. It is super hard, but we are learning. Our house is pretty big, but it is like a pizza oven and you just sweat. It rains all the time here and we just walk in the rain. However, it is way more chilly here and so much better than Capaitá. Elder Risenmay and I went on a little adventure and hiked up this huge hill and looked across the city and it is sick. I ASKED FOR AN ADVENTURE...I AM GETTING ONE!?! WHAT HAPPENED TO ELDER RESSEL?!? WELL LET ME TELL YOU. I WAS FIGHTING FOR MY LIFE HERE IN THE JUNGLE. I GOT SURROUNDED ONE DAY WALKING IN THE STREETS BY THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLE. THEY TOOK MY HOSTAGE AND TRY TO FEED ME TO THE JAGUARS. HOWEVER, WHAT THEY DID NOT KNOW IS THAT THEY ARE DEALING WITH THE BEST MISSIONARY EVER AND I STARTED PREACHING FACTS TO THEM AND THEY LET ME GO BECAUSE OF MY AMAZING WORDS... nah I just went to the temple. We had to change our P-day to last thursday because we went to the temple, so I did not write an email... SORRY Now you all are probably wondering about this title. Well let me explain, My companion right now only has 2 transfers left in his mission, and this was my 3rd transfer here in capaita. So we both knew that I was going to get moved to a different area. HERMANA I AM ONLY 18!?! I DO NOT HAVE A FAMILY!?! 2023 BABY. NEW YEAR, NEW ME, NEW EXPERIENCIAS, LETS GET IT GOING BABY. We started this week off by some nice Paraguay rain! Nothing better than a nice rainy day here. Had to walk in some water again, got soaked and lessons were canceled. On the bright side of things, Elder Figueroa found 20 Mil on the street, so I call that a successful day for me. Elder Dixon and I went on splits and we worked our butts off. We were supposed to have a baptism next week, but we convinced them to change it to this week. The next day I had splits with another Elder and we can just say that we walked the whole day and had 0 lessons. Everyone that we had a lesson with either wasn't home or canceled... So what do you do when all of this happens? You buy Coke(which I don't even like Coke), you get Elder Barrios(who is a service missionary here) and you drink coke with Elder Barrios and his mom. THE SUN FINALLY GOT ME!?! SUN 1 NOAH 0 For 3 months I have been battling the heat and sun of Paraguay. Each day I have come out victorious and laughing in everyone's face back home who said I was going to die because of the heat... yeahhhhh that all ended Saturday. Saturday was a tough day around 115 degrees once we hit noon. I walked for about 3 hours and sat outside not in the shade. For those of you who do not know, the heat kills me. It is one thing if it is 115 and you are inside with AC and chilling watching the Chiefs game, but I am walking miles and miles. After our lesson, we went to the store because our lunch got canceled and I told my companion, "I am about to throw up. We got to go." We quickly bought our stuff for lunch (which I ended up not eating anyways) and went back to our house. I ended up laying on the bathroom floor for like 15 mins puking my guts out.
