4th OF JULY...OR CHRISTMAS DAY?!? 4 DINNERS VS NOAH RESSEL Christmas here was one of the weirdest things of my life. We were able to stay out until 12:30 in the morning to hang out with members for Christmas. I had 4 dinners that night. I have never wanted to throw up more in my life. Pasta, Chicken, Steak, Fruit Salad, potatoes, so many different things. It was crazy. After powering my way through all those dinners, once 12 hit it was fireworks everywhere. It was the weirdest thing ever. I just stood outside like...uhhh is this 4th of July or is this Christmas?  It was cool to watch all the fireworks go off though. I also got to watch a movie for the first time in 5 months. Unfortunately, it was Sherk and it was in Spanish, but hey I will take it.   We had our zone conference this week and it was crazy fun. I got to listen to actual music for the first time in like 5 months and I was losing my mind. It brought peace to my soul. However, we had crazy good f...

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT A KID FROM KANSAS AND A KID FROM CHILE TOGTHER!?!? YOU GUYS REMEMBER MY EMAIL FROM LAST WEEK? LIKE I SAID THIS WEEK WAS FULL OF ADVENTURES AND STORIES. SO PLEASE GRAB YOUR POPCORN AND BUCKLE YOUR SEATBELTS BECAUSE THIS IS GOING TO BE THE BEST EMAIL YOU EVER READ.  So, Elder Turner left. He left me to run the area. Yeah...my time now baby. However, he left me to run the area with a kid who doesn't speak English. Ummmmm, yeah.... light work.  So, what happens when you put me, the best missionary ever, and Elder Figueroa together... you got two young kids running around the streets of paraguay making miracles happen baby. That is right, miracles.  Elder Turner and I had tried for 3 months to set a bauptismal date for Cristina, one of our friends that we have been teaching, and she has always been scared to commit. However on this day, I told Elder Figueroa that I was going to ask her to get baptized. He looked at me like I was crazy. And he is ...

NOW IS MY TIME! What is up everyone, another week and more adventures.  This was my last week of training. Now after 4 and a half months of training and having extra study time, it is my time to be the best missionary ever. I didn't even need the training, I was already cracked at Spanish before I left. This was Elder Turners last week on his mission and that means I am getting a new companion. I am getting a native Spanish speaker... guys do not worry, like I said, I am cracked at Spanish. He is from Chile and I will meet him tomorrow. It has been so hot here guys. We had splits one day, and inside our house it was 111 degrees. I am sweating so much here. It is one of the hardest things I have done in my life. It picked one day at 118 degrees. However, I get to have great conversations with the local people here when we walk. We walk in this area sometimes and this dog always follows us. I have claimed it as my dog now and I will mess with it every time we walk in t...

HAKUUUUUUU HAKUUUUUU. Yeah we are around 106 degrees and the humidity makes it worse. This week it is supposed to be worse. One day it rained here and it was still so hot. I will put a picture of us walking in the rain. I have been buying Christmas decorations to put in our room and now I got Christmas lights hanging all over our house. Next I need to find where I can get a real tree... Friday we had the baptism for Mia and it was a great experience. She was super nervous, but when the time came she was ready. The water was warm because of how hot it was, but we had a lot of people turn up to watch and it was a great experience for me and for her.  That is about it for the week. No crazy stories.  Love you all and hope you guys are doing well From your favorite, Elder Ressel
